Make yourself magic by Jaclyn Kennison was a beautiful and gentle reminder that my body is my home and to treat it as such!

The Me I Was had me hooked from the first chapter. Jaclyn does an amazing job of telling the story of her tragic accident juxtaposed against the story of her life leading up to the accident. It's beautifully written, engaging, and if anything, too short! The stories of her navigating life in her early 20s are funny and relatable, and the chapters about her accident will give you goosebumps. I've bought two copies and lent out one already!

Jaclyn is filled with courage and encouragement. If you are searching; this book is for you. Because Jaclyn was willing to put her story into print, I believe those who read it may be able to try on the author's wisdom and decide if it fits. A fit may create a shorter and less painful path to peace and understanding.
Thank you for inviting us in to you life, your healing and your insight.

Jaclyn has not only written a fascinating and boldly honest record of her own journey, but has also woven a lifeline for those of us still finding our way to the inner peace and self-acceptance we all deserve to realize. Having met and talked with Jaci on several occasions, I had absolutely no idea of the trials she had faced earlier in her life before reading her book. The light and joy she radiates today is who she truly IS. I became a passenger for a ride along into Jaci's past from the moment I started reading. The layers of herself that she spun into my reality are beautiful with flaws and victories. Jaci is an honest and able artist, tuning her words with soul, pain and metamorphosis. By the last thirty pages I slowed down, trying to lengthen the time it took to finish reading the book as I didn't want to stop traveling with her. Jaci shows the way she found out who she is. Her example dares me to discover that possibility within myself.
